Possibly known as the ANCHORAGE earlier?
Application made Monday 12th February 1906 to make alterations to the
house since it was small and enlargement would greatly improve it. The
Bench considered the case should stand over for a month, then they would
consider it.
In February 1929 the house was described as having,
on the ground floor, a parlour, cellar, smoke-room, tap-room,
dining-room and scullery. there were four bedrooms on the first floor.
Lock-up garages could hold six to eight motor-cars, Steward & Patteson
advised that the rateable value was £18, and the licensee Read, was an
excellent tenant and suitable to hold a full licence.
The Bench were unanimous in granting licence transfer from the RAM,
Bawdeswell, and hoped the Licensing Justices would agree.
