Note. It was reported March 1914 that William Bales had been in occupation of the Prince of Wales since 1896, although in September 1907 it was said that he had moved into the cottage, formerly the property of his mother-in-law, who had died 31st May 1906. Prior to that, Mr. Bales had lived in London. At Michaelmas (1906?) he had moved to the Prince of Wales.

It was announced 26th December 1914 that following a claim of £368 16s 3d from the Compensation Authorities, the sum of £350 had been approved.


It was confirmed Wednesday, 3rd February 1915 that the house had closed, the Compensation having been paid on 4th January 1915.
