	`A long established and very desirable Public-house.... in the occupation of 
	Mr. Smith'. 
	 
     
	On Monday 12th October 1818, the Household Furniture of Mr James Hunter, at 
	the White Horse, was offered for sale by auction. Items included four-posted 
	bedsteads, with check and other furniture, good feather beds, blankets and 
	quilts, excellent coal range, Bath and other stoves, copper kitchen and 
	boilers, hollow-seated and other chairs, dining and tea tables, buffet, 
	chests of drawers, dressing and other glasses, brewing and washing utensils, 
	&c, &c. Also a small stack of excellent hay, a stack of rushes, a milch cow, 
	in profit, two useful hobbies, &c, &c.
