A 17thC house, clad in 19thC brick. Shown on Bryant's 1826 map. Lot No. 21 in the sale of the Geldeston Brewery Wednesday 1st April 1858. Purchased by Mr. Christmas for £620. On Friday 19th February 1904 Charles Henry Ward and his son, Edmund Ward were accused of an assault on farmer William Scoles Middleton of Denton. There was a counter charge against Mr. Middleton for an assault on Mrs. Eliza Ward and Edmund Ward. The latter charge was dismissed but both Charles and Edmund were fined 5s each, and costs. Licence renewal was adjourned to the next sitting. Licence renewed Friday 11th March 1904, but only upon the condition that the tenant be replaced.
