Forthcoming sale advertised 18th February 1829. For Sale by Auction Tuesday 10th March 1829. Including a small Brewery. Consisting of a Bar and two Parlours, Tap-room and Wash-house. Seven Sleeping-rooms and spacious cellarage with Brew-house, Stable, Gig-house, Piggery and large Yards. The property having a frontage to Mere Street of 66 feet and extends to the New Road, at the back of the premises, by which approach may be made from the Norwich and London Road from Scole, without coming on the pavement. Further particulars to be had from the Proprietor, Mr. Crucknell. On Friday 13th November 1829 the Brewing Plant of Mr. Cruchnell was to be sold without reserve since he was going to remove to a distant part of the county. The equipment included a 175 Gallon Copper, Mash Tub, 4 barrel Underback, Steel Malt Mill, about 30 feet of lead Pipe, several Barrels and Half-barrels, small Dray and Harness, 15 Dozen Stone Bottles and other Effects. The Brewing Plant, Dray and Malt Mill were all within four years old. For Sale by Auction Monday, 15th March 1830 at the King's Head, Diss. The Desirable Messuage or Dwelling-house, late a Public House called the King's Arms. Consisting of a room (formerly a bar) and two Parlours in front, a room (late used as a Tap Room), a Wash House, Seven Sleeping Rooms, Cellar, Brewhouse; Stable, Gig-house and spacious Yard, the whole late in the occupation of Mr. Robert Crucknell. |
