Mrs. Sophia Holiburn of the Crown Inn married farmer William Denton 18th March 1840.

Offered for sale by auction 3rd July 1900
The sale was held at the Globe Hotel, Kings Lynn
by Messrs Cruso & Wilkin

The main lot was

It was reported 8th April 1905 that Mr. A. J. Crisp of the Crown had a chicken, a white leghorn, which had laid an egg measuring 8¼ inches long and 7¼ inches round. It weighed 4¾ ounces.
