On Wednesday 27th September 1876, shoemaker John Love was fined 5s and 17s 6d costs for being drunk on licensed premises. The offence had taken place on 30th August 1876.
Licensee Ellis Carter was found guilty of supplying brandy to an intoxicated customer and was fined £2 10s and £1 0s 6d costs.
