Recorded in Register of Blofield, Taverham & Walsham Hundred licensed houses taken 9th September 1789.

Thieves broke into the house of William Howsham on Monday 12th April 1819. They stole £15 from a bureau and about 14 gallons of spirit from the cellar. They were un-named and still free two weeks later.

Shown on Bryant's 1826 map.

S&P report prepared for Watney Mann April 1969 recommended immediate closure, stating `Bar is dismal, Cellar damp and toilet accommodation unsanitary.''

S&P sales in final year of trading were :-
18 barrels of draught beer &
15 barrels of bottled beer.

Reasons for closure stated :-
"Structure sound, but sanitation poor."

Demolished and site included within housing development.
