taking a corrosive substance on April 10th. He survived the attempt but
by 19th April he was still suffering from delirium tremens. |

Accused of
participating in a horse race from Burgh King's Head to the Buff
Coat, Norwich on the night of Tuesday, 24th March 1891. Robert Dack was
racing against Charles Greenacre of Filby for a wager of £5. The pair
were said to be galloping at speeds of 18 to 20 miles per hour. The
horse ridden by Greenacre died on the 26th March.
On Tuesday, 14th April 1891, charged of furious driving, each gentlemen
was fined 50s or 14 day's imprisonment. |

Tuesday, 21st November 1916 -
Although running the house from 11th October 1916, Mr. Stone, did not,
at that time, have a Protection Order. In that case a fine of £50 for
trading without a licence was liable. The tenancy of Mr. Kiddle expired
on 3rd November and Stone was acting as a manager to November 7th. From
11th November he was taking the profits.
The transfer from Kiddle to Stone was granted. A warning was
given to the brewery representative to cover himself with a
Protection Order in future. |

Garden & Orchard. An excellent stable, Gig House, Cart Shed, Horse Shed, and Yard,
Barn, Cow House and other outbuildings; Also a Clay & Tiled Cottage and 31A 1R 6P of
land, Oak and other Timbers to be included in sale. The lot is on the Turnpike road to
Norwich, within a short distance of Kimberley Railway Station.
The house being in the occupation of William Cann & Co. and their undertenant at £125
yearly. The Cottage occupied by John Cross at £3/5/0d per annum. The tenants have notice
to quit Michaelmas 1881.
The property was purchased by William Cann for the sum of £2500.
Morgans sales in 1960 were :-
42 barrels of beer
14 spirits (gallons)
Demolished soon after closure.
