Peter Capon (Snr?) was churchwarden to St. Marys in 1688 and 1705 as recorded by Charles Candler in his "Notes on the Parish of Redenhall with Harleston", published 1896.

Anthony Hobart "refronted" the house with brick c1729.

 

Described as a "Capital Mansion House" when offered for sale, February 1836.
