25th October 1853 - Alfred Plummer, formerly of Hilgay, Butcher and Publican, at the same time carrying on the business of a Butcher at Southery, and since carrying on the business of Butcher at Littleport, Cambridgeshire, afterwards of Long Melford , Suffolk, Butcher, and for the last seven months Butcher and Publican at the Hare & Hounds, Hilgay, at the same time carrying on the business of Butcher at Southery, an Insolvent Debtor, having been filed in the County Court of Norfolk, at Downham, and an Interim Order for Protection fro0m Process had been given....... His first Examination of Debts, Estate and Effects would be on 11th November 1853 .......
On 22nd November 1853 it was announced that the final order would be made on 9th December.
