In 1851 there is a Mark Daplyn, age 44, a prisoner in the Walsingham House
of Correction. Occupation given as rat killer. Birthplace is given as
Hindringham. Susan Daplyn, age 43 and head of household, residing at Church
Lane, Hindringham.
In the same year Richard Chastney, age 46, is recorded as a master
bricklayer, residing at Bakers Lane, Hindringham.
According to
an indenture dated June 1853, Mark Daplyn and his wife Susanna, innkeepers
of Hindringham, were in debt to William Primrose (Trunch Brewery) to the
sum of £29. The debt was apparently in respect of property in Binham.
