Was a stopping place for coaches.
58 year old Patrick Brett pleaded guilty of stealing, on 3rd July 1853,
a coat belonging to Mr. Charles Pierce. He was sentenced to
eight months' imprisonment, with hard labour.
Marked as uninhabited in 1901 census.
Tuesday 7th February 1905 - Licence renewal referred to session to be
held 7th March 1905 on the grounds that the house was redundant and
unnecessary. Provisional licence issued.
Renewal of licence was refused Friday 23rd June 1905 on the grounds of
redundancy and being unnecessary. Bullards offered no opposition to the
licence being referred to compensation.
