One of four freehold public houses sold by auction Thursday 12th September
1833 along with a dwelling and brewery in Hingham, plus ten other lots
including land and cottages.
Lot 3 on which ` a considerable sum ' had been recently expended, with

On Monday 1st March 1927, the licensing authorities recommended that the
house be closed by compensation.
