c1910 Offered To Let by Tender 23rd May 1835. Tender to be delivered by Saturday 30th May 1835 and to be for a term of 12 years. Mr. William Long Abbey, of the COCK INN, Hockering, Publican and Dealer in Beer and Spirits, formerly trading as William Abbey, of Curtain Road, Shorditch, London Oil and Colorman and afterwards of Leyton Road, Stratford, Essex, Oil and Colorman, was adjudicated Bankrupt on 18th December 1869. On 17th February 1870 the Bankrupt was Discharged. The Order of Discharge was dated 22nd April 1870. Exact dates of service as a publican yet to be determined. No change recommended at first Joint Committee Meeting of Bullards and Steward & Patteson 29th May 1962. Sales given as 117 barrels. Report prepared for Watney Mann June 1969 recommended immediate closure. Licence renewal not applied for 9th February 1973 |
