On Wednesday 28th August 1872, Superintendent Lambley charged George Cator of "being in a certain public house within the prohibited hours, on 18th August, at Hockwold". He was fined £1 and costs of 12s. Another report of the case records that Mr. Cator had been found drinking in the house of Mr. Grimmer Cock ( The BELL) at 11:45pm. Sold 1880 |
