Advertised 6th April 1805 To Be Sold.
With Out-buildings, ?? Acres of Land and Appurtenances thereto
belonging. In the occupation of Thomas Caulk.
Given as the LION in the 1891 census.
March 1938 - With Horsey Village about to cease to be an island, Mr. and
Mrs King said that they would not brave another winter at the house and
would leave at September. The
flood level was slowly decreasing and the first line of defences of the
breach had been completed. A double row of piles had been filled in and
covered with 10,000 cubic yards of soil. The road from the village to
the breach was only a few inches deep in water. Two weeks previously the
depth had been three feet in parts.
