Plans for rebuilding were submitted to the Justices, on Monday, 17th
April 1939. One feature proffered was that the ceiling of the cellar
would be splinter-proof.
No
change recommended at First Joint Committee Meeting of Bullards and Steward & Patteson
29th May 1962.
Sales given for 1961 as 203 barrels.
May 1963 - A meeting place for some 500 people, assembled for two weeks
of protests outside RAF Marham, in a "Ban the Bomb" demonstration. Their
cause was not supported by landlord Mr. Lawrence, but he admitted to a
booming trade.
