Lot No. 3 in the sale by Auction, Saturday 30th
October 1841 of a Desirable Estate which included Marlingford Old Hall
and 217 Acres.
This lot comprised Two Cottages, one occupied by John Farrow and used as
a Public House, The Bell. The other Cottage occupied by James Mortimer.
With Outbuildings, Yards and Gardens, the whole containing 3R. 17P.
Property of the late Henry Daveney Esq. for sale by
auction Saturday 4th September 1852.
Lot No. 15 being the BELL
public house with Yard and Garden occupied by James Hipperson.
On the night of Monday 25th November 1867, Mr. Sadd of Marlingford Bell
was driving his horse and cart along St. Giles street, Norwich, when it
was in collision with a brougham belonging to Mr. A. M. F. Morgan.
Although thrown into the road, Mr. Sadd escaped injury, as did Mr.
Morgan.
