Original sign said to have featured King Stephen who
had connections with Old Buckenham Castle.
On Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th March 1782, All
the Household Furniture including Feather Beds, tables and Chairs, Pier
and Dressing Glasses, Pewter and other Kitchen Furniture, Linen, a small
quantity of Liquors and a fine Cart and Harness, with a variety of other
Articles, were to be sold for the benefit of the Creditors of Thomas
Snelling, late of the Inn.
In 1830 Vans from Norwich, by Elizabeth Newdick called every Tuesday night on route to
Bury St Edmunds. The return to Norwich was every Monday night.
Carrier Bowen called every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:00pm on route from Norwich to
Kenninghall. The return was on Tuesday and Friday at 11:00am.

Featured a ceiling mounted "Twizzler" for gaming for drinks.
