of the late Nelson Long.
In 1830, carrier John Wells called every Tuesday morning on route to Norwich.
All the Household Furniture and Effects of the late Nelson Long were to
be Sold by Auction Thursday, 5th June 1804.
Arthur Titlow was fined 15s on Monday 16th September 1901 upon the
evidence of Police Constable Palmer who said he had seen the cart in use
on several occasions. He had sent Mr. Titlow the usual notices who then
claimed that the cart had not been used. He had since taken out a
licence. The option to paying the fine was seven days in prison.
No mention
found in directories after 1933
The funeral notice of Mr. C. Woodrow took place on Monday 28th February
1938, following his death on Thursday 24th February. He was 87
years old and "was the licensee of the White Horse Hotel until its
closing down about three years ago".
Reported at the Annual General Licensing Meeting, Monday, 4th February
1935, as having been closed by the brewers, during the previous year.
