On 29th November 1884, p.c. Bailey
discovered two men playing a game of chance with
innkeeper, John Stibbon. The game consisted of "rattling three
sixpences in a glass and turning them out on the table, the
object being to see who would win a rabbit, value 1s 6d.". Mr.
Stibbon only receiving 1s. for the prize. |
