67 year old Robert Pitcher was sentenced to three calendar months'
imprisonment, 28th March 1845, having been found guilty of stealing
a silver spoon, four knives and three forks, on 22nd February, the property of Anna
Maria Kendall, widow.

At Snettisham Petty Sessions, held 14th June 1847, innkeeper and
provision seller William Cater was found by John Shickle, Examiner of
Weights, to have two deficient weights. Fine of 5s and costs.
The Lynn Advertiser of 15th November 1907 reported that
the King had gifted the Bull to the village of Shernbourne for future use as a club. The landlady Mrs Hooks being
appointed caretaker.
Mrs Jane Hooks is given as caretaker
of Village Club in 1912.
