In the 1861 census, Eliza Pleasance (age 43) is given as the publican whilst
husband Charles only given as a butcher.
CLOSURE recommended at First Joint Committee Meeting of Bullards and S&P 29th May
1962. Sales then reported as 42 barrels of beer for the previous year. The tenant was said
to have been there for 15 years and to be 59 years old.
