Spurrell Plumbly (1836) was also Clerk to the Magistrates Court and
Commissioner of Assessed Taxes. (He had been to that position 22nd October
1813 when he was described as "Gentleman of Southrepps.")
The Household Furniture and Effects of Mr. Spurrell Plumbly were to be Sold
by Auction Friday, 6th October 1843, in consequence of him retiring from
business.
Offered To Let 8th December 1855 with Possession `at Christmas next'.
An Old-established Public House with Stables, Outhouses and good Bowling

On Friday 9th October 1903, part of the Household Furniture and Outdoor
Effects of Mr. William Dobson were to be Sold since he was leaving the Inn.
No application made 1st February 1904 for licence renewal.
At the Cromer Licensing Sessions, held Monday 13th February 1905 it was
reported that the licence had been given up during the year ending February
