On Saturday 17th August 1872, amongst Six Farms, sold in Sixteen
Lots, Lot 14 was a Double Cottage and Land at Stockton, valued at an
actual (or estimated rental) of £16 p.a., occupied by Robert Harrod.
The land covered an area of 4a. 2r. 12p.
On Tuesday 17th October 1882, Carriages, Implements and other
Effects of Mr. Robert Harrod were to be Sold by Auction at the Black
Boys' Inn. Included were 4 Capital Cart horses, 2 Superior Cart
Colts, 2 Foals, 6 Steers and Swine. All had been used on Hales Wood
Farm, which Mr. Harrod had given up.

The sign c1935. This hung on a bracket above the front entrance.
Another similar, but larger sign, was attached to a post which stood by
the roadside in the Beccles direction.

Morgans sales for 1960 were 35 barrels of beer and 24 spirits.
Closure recommended at First Joint Committee Meeting of Bullards and
S&P, 29.05.1962. Sales of 30 barrels given for previous year. Licensee said to be aged
60 to 62 years and to have been a tenant for 22 years.
