Pleasantly situated on the Turnpike Road, near the Town, known by the sign of "The Cock" in which considerable beer trade has been carried on for several years past, now in occupation of James Nunn. A James Nunn is listed for nearly 50 years. With occupation of publican or innkeeper, as well as brewer and carpenter. The funeral of George Lusher took place on Saturday 5th April 1941 and it was heard that he had been licensee for 35 years and before that had been employed at Whittington Maltings for 34 years.
