On 9th March 1883 the licence of George Rix, deceased, then held by his wife Alice, administratrix of his estate, was transferred to herself. In 1883 Henry Medlock is given by White as a baker & beer retailer in Ash Close. Kelly only gives him as a baker. ~ |
William Buckenham is given as a stonemason at 16 Ash Close in 1871 - no mention of beer. Full licence transferred from the TUNS, Great Snoring, 11.02.1957 Morgans sales for 1960 were :- 164 barrels of beer & 25 spirits (gallons ) 47 barrels of draught beer plus 36 (barrels) of bottled beer sold in the final year of trading. Closure said to be due to `ill health'. |
