Inquest into death of 4 year old Edward Nelson held here 26th August 1870. He had been riding on a straw elevator, drawn by Mr. Gainsbury's traction engine, and fell under the iron wheel as he dismounted. Verdict Accidental Death. ~ Described as a small house. Stood opposite the Post Office. Licence considered unnecessary at the Annual Brewster Sessions, Monday 6th February 1905. Renewal to be considered at the adjourned meeting..... The Norfolk Chronicle of 10th February 1906 reported that a provisional licence was awarded at the Swaffham Sessions held Monday 5th February. Not found in the licence registers for 1926 and onwards. |
