On 27th October 1860, John Rose, late of the Railway Tavern, advised
that he had taken the Livery and Bait Stables in Station Street,
close to the Railway Station. He provided good loose boxes and
lock-up Coach Houses.

The railway line opened in 1847.
also as the RAILWAY TAVERN & POSTING HOUSE.
In November 1870, Mr. John Hart, respected host
of the RAILWAY HOTEL,
suffered severe fractures of the ribs by slipping on the cellar steps
and falling to the bottom.
Rose's Livery & Baiting (?) Stables advertised c1910.
Closed in 1955 and the licence was transferred to
the LONDON TAVERN, Wymondham.
