Note that there were two houses of this name in the parish. William Flowerday applied for a Spirit Licence Monday 6th September 1869. It was said that the house had held a beer licence for 24 years, was well conducted and provided accommodation for travellers and horses. Application refused. Application for a spirit licence refused, Monday 5th August 1870. Offered for sale by auction as a Copyhold Beerhouse 22.07.1878. location given as at Hay Green on the High Road from Wisbech to Terrington.
At the February 1906 Licensing Sessions the licence was referred for a month due to the bad
repair of the premises. 33 barrels of beer sold in the final year of trading. |
