During June 1833, a wall, the property of Walter Tyrell
of the Black Horse, was pulled down by mischievous ruffians. On the same
night, part of another wall, in front of the old Methodist Chapel,
suffered the same fate..
John Walter Tyrell was running a brewery in Magdalen
Street in 1839,
seemingly at this site.
