Thursday 4th May 1916 - Two soldiers
had been found in the house, with beer, on 8th April at about 12:50 pm.
This was contrary to the military authority banning all members of H.M.
Forces from licensed houses, except for between the hours of 1:00 pm and
9:00 pm.
Although it was claimed that the beer had not been paid for, the Bench
unanimously decided upon a fine of £5 as a warning to all licensees. |
