Offered To Let 21st August 1777, with exceedingly good Stables, a Barn
and about five Acres of very good Land adjoining. In occupation of
William Dent.
Thomas Cocks announced, 14th October 1778, that he had taken the house.
All those indebted to Thomas Cocks were to submit their Account as notice
dated 3rd October 1780.

Dent'. Occupation from Michaelmas.
The Household Furniture, late the property of George Hollis, were to be
sold by auction 14th, 15th and 16th December 1826,. To include
furniture, carpets and curtains, glass, earthenware, small quantity of
plate and articles adapted to innkeepers; Brewing Plant of about 7
coombs, casks, hogsheads &c. Stones, coppers, beer engine, cupboards,
&c. Outside effects including a Fair Booth with tables, forms, stove,
&c. &c......
Advertised November 1829 to be sold `About the middle of December'. Also
a capital detached Stable for 20 horses with Granary and Warehouse, a
Barn, 2 pieces of Arable Land, Walnut-tree Close and Paddock, in all
about 8 Acres.
For Sale by Auction Saturday 8th May 1830.
Including extensive Stabling, Coach House, Granaries, Brew House and
every other convenience to carry on a first rate business.
John Golding, the Insolvent Debtor, late of the
Fleece Inn, was to appear before the Judge of the County Court, Monday,
23rd September 1850.
Occupation given as late Innkeeper, licensed to let horses and gigs for
hire, collector of tolls from the town bridge toll and proprietor of a
stage coach.
