Brewer in Thetford. The Brewery of Mr. Charles Woods was advertised 16th March 1836, To be Sold by Private Contract. Included were Seven Public Houses, each with a considerable amount of land attached, amounting to a Total of 36 Acres. |

It was announced Saturday 2nd June 1838 that owing
to ill health, Mr. Charles Woods was compelled to sell his Thetford
Brewery. (Notification dated 23rd May 1838) The Sale would include:- The Valuable Brewery. Dwelling House, Malting Offices, extensive Buildings and Premises, Beer Shop, Cottages, and 17 Acres of Land. All in Thetford. Also 7 Public Houses in the Neighbourhood. |
Charles Woods died Sunday 22nd March 1840 - age 71.
