Thomas Richards advised the public 8th December 1832 that having taken the
Inn and fitted it up with every comfortable Accommodation, he looked forward
to their Patronage and Support. Excellent Pasturage for Lodging Cattle,
Yard, Stabling , Hay and Corn were all available.
Village now contained within the ``Stanford battle area''.
