The Norfolk Chronicle of 20th September 1794 reported that Mr. George Chamberlain of the Artichoke public-house at Trowse, had died on Friday 12th September 1794. His son William, had died three days before, on the Tuesday. Only record of a house in Trowse so named. Could it be a mistaken Pineapple? |
