In an undated letter Thomas Marler wrote...
Horse & Groom
I must again trouble you as regards the well at Swanton. The water
is very bad. The plumber say its' the well itself wants looking too,
so please give the order to have it done also the repair as you know
they are badly wanting to be done, I cannot possibly get my cattle
fat if the place is not seen after, and the boundaries. My daughter
wants to have them done. Will it be any use for me to write to Mrs
Yates respecting them. You must please have the well seen to at
once.
Yours
Thomas Marler
