  The Bell August 1967
A new BELL  was built on the land of a former nursery
      and opened 17th August 1967.
Said to be built at a cost of £30,000.
The near-by old house to be demolished to provide a large car park.
It was reported that it was sad to lose an old friendbut the inconvenience of service and poor toilet facilities
of the Old Bell made it necessary for rejuvenation.
` The New Bell consists of two large licensed rooms
both entered from an Entrance Lobby, and from which
Toilets of modern hygienic design for both Ladies
and Gentlemen are to be found......
Designed in the modern style externally, but not too lavish
to bewilder the customer and sufficient to give pleasure and
create atmosphere; pleasure by reason of the cask beer
from the refrigerated Cask Beer Cellar......... etc.... '
