Robert Button is recorded as a sawyer in 1861, age 42.
In July 1863 he was a publican and sawyer and appeared in court due to a dispute regarding hurdles supplied by carpenter Thomas Griggs.
In July 1866 he was said to be bankrupt with debts of £75 10s, an ex-publican at the RED LION and sawyer of Watton.
In August 1866 his public examination was adjourned until the October sitting.
