on Wednesday 22nd August 1866.
Described as in the occupation of E Clarke and built of Brick and
Tile, containing Parlour, Kitchen, Bar, Scullery, Store Room, Cellar, and
Three Bedrooms. Also a Stable, Sheds, Garden, and productive Meadow,
containing together about 2 acres.
Rent £12. Freehold. Tithe Rent Charge 6 shillings. Land-tax 7 shillings.
Licence considered unnecessary at the Annual Brewster Sessions, Monday
6th February 1905. Renewal to be considered at the adjourned
meeting.....
Provisional licence issued February 1906, at Swaffham Licensing
Sessions, since Compensation had not been paid in accordance with
decisions made in 1905.
However it was heard that the sum of compensation had been fixed and it
could take two or three years before a conclusion was reached.
Not found in 1908 & 1912 directories but still appears
as the STAR INN in 1915 Register of Electors.
