The Norfolk News of 29th June 1861 carried details of the forthcoming auction, Tuesday July 16th 1861, of :- Lot 1. THE BREWERY, occupied by Mrs Rust. and including the FAMILY HOUSE, licensed by the Magistrates and known as the BREWERS ARMS. The house containing, Entrance Hall and two staircases, two sitting-rooms, seven Sleeping-rooms, Kitchen, Storeroom, Cellar, Scullery, and Offices. Lots 2, 3 and 10 were garden and land. Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 were public houses in Wells, Wighton and Hindringham. Last found in the 1871 census. |
