JOHN FLACK, mentioned as Innholder in probate dated 1675
THOMAS SAVORY, Inn Keeper in will dated 1733
PETER GRAY, Alehouse Keeper in will dated 1765
ROBERT CHAMBERLAIN in will dated 1781
EDMUND THOMPSON, Public House Keeper in will dated 1803.

An undated reference states that the magistrates suppressed the alehouse licenses of
WILLIAM WILSON
, WILLIAM CURTIS and THOMAS BUNTING.
In addition it was considered that two or three alehouses were sufficient and all others should be closed.
A petition raised by 13 inhabitants nominated DAVID BOOT and WILLIAM MICKLEFIELD as the best to be allowed to continue.

1866 - 1867 REBECCA PENTIN  Charged Monday 15th January 1866 of selling beer in her house after 11pm on 10th October by Sergeant Provart. Claiming her clock had run down and being a first offence, fine of 2s 6d and 9s 4d costs.
Charged by Sergeant Provart of selling beer after 11:00pm on night of 12th April 1867 - Three persons found at 1:30 am and three glasses of beer on the table. Fine 5s and 10s 9d costs
