October 1987
Beer retail in 1858 & 1865.
Lucius Banham gained a new (full) licence in the
first week of September 1866.
On Tuesday 9th October 1888 the Household Furniture and Effects of Mr.
Pearson were to be sold by Auction since he was leaving the district.
Included were a Brown Cob, 10 Pigs, a square Cart, Norwich Car, Plated
and other Harnesses......
On Friday 12th October 1888 the licence was transferred from Mr. Pearson
to Frank Claxton, however (from trade directories) it seems that John
Girling ran the house (as manager?) from at least 1888.
Demolished 2nd April 1996
