JAMES
HENRY DREW |
Bootmaker and retailer of beer - OFF
Licence.
A police constable in plain clothes was served beer on
3rd May 1901 and allowed to drink it on the premises. He
was then allowed to purchase another half pint. Mr.
Drew's son had served and when the constable declared
himself, the son replied "That's a bit off." Since James
Drew had not known of the trade or given consent to the
event, the charges were dismissed. |
