c1920 Advertised `To Let' in the Norfolk Chronicle 4th May 1776 `Apply to Mr. Press Smith of Worstead' Robert Watts, publican of Worstead, was accused by Berney Brograve, owner of the public house, of stealing a cart tilt and straw. The Jury found Watts not guilty and so, on 16th January 1789, Mr. Brograve made an appeal for the anonymous informant of the crime to come forward so that the verdict could be challenged and promised a reward of Ten Guineas.
