Offered for sale 15th January 1743 -` In good tenable repair being £26 a

Lot No. 9 in a sale of properties in St. Stephen's Street, Thursday 29th
April 1819. Freehold - An excellent Inn with spacious Yard, Garden, Stables
and other convenient buildings. In occupation of Peter Youngs.
The two large Cellars and Attics being used as a Manufactory by Messrs. Cobb
and Co. and form Lot 7., not being included in this Lot since it is very
extensive.
Elizabeth Youngs acquainted her Friends, 11th October 1834, that she had
relinquished the Inn to John Spratt who would provide every accommodation
and exert his best abilities to merit the patronage of the Old Friends of
the House.
John Spratt, late of the CROWN
INN, advised the public, 25th October 1834 that on
account of the Crown Inn being about to be pulled down, he had taken the
Angel, and which, in compliance with the wishes of many Old Supporters of
both Houses, will be called the
CROWN
& ANGEL.
