Mentioned in the
trial of `Royalist rioters ' in 1648,
following the destruction of the Committee House, in what is now Bethel Street.
(Same as house known at St. Peters Street, St. Peter Mancroft ?)
It was advised 25th March 1749 that Thomas Browne had removed to the
DOLPHIN,
St. Giles Broadstreet.
In 1906 it was said that John Coulton had been a previous (Undated) owner of the inn.
