On Tuesday 24th August 1869, Thomas Eglinton (Eglington) applied for a licence for the beerhouse he had kept for two years . He had previously to that kept another house for five years (GLOBE). With the accommodation being described as one small room and bar, the Bench refused the application since the house was too small. Mr. Eglington is given as a beerhouse keeper in the 1869 trades directory. |
