For Sale by Auction Tuesday 25th April 1837. Given as the CHURCH TOIL in 1839. On the evening of Friday 8th November 1844, a large company of the electors supped with Mr. Rump and Mr. Seaman at the Church Stile. The usual loyal toasts were given by the chairman. The health of the Conservative electors were enthusiastically toasted. The electors present were resolved ultimately to rescue the Second Ward from the Whig-Radical domination.
